Young creatives from the Penrith area are going outdoors to present a specially created dance performance in Castle Park from Thursday 25th to Sat 27th July.
In a fresh response to the Red Riding Hood story the audience is introduced to Ellie, who has been sent to spend the summer holiday with her Grandma in Penrith. Will Ellie stick to the path? And who is the Wolf?
The Audio Adventure takes you on a short journey around Castle Park in Penrith.
The audience are provided with over-ear headphones and will hear specially created audio to go with the dance performance from members of Eden Youth Dance Company.
Stefan Escreet, Producer and Director said: “This is an exciting celebration of the creative talent of young people in Cumbria and the story has been inspired by Castle Park itself. Our Audio Adventures combine the powerful intimacy of sound production with the spectacle of outdoor dance.”
Stefan has been working in Theatre for over 40 years. He established Ragged Edge after being Associate Director at Theatre by the Lake in Keswick for many years as well as working as a BBC Radio Drama Producer.
