Traffic is currently at a standstill on the A66 between Kirkby Thore and Appleby

Drivers are being warned of delays on the A66 between Kirkby Thore and Appleby with traffic currently stationary.

The delays to eastbound traffic are due to a wide load travelling east under police escort on the A66.

The load passed by Penrith at approximately 1:15 with police motorbikes escorting the wide load thought to be an aircraft section.
