Students in Penrith and across Westmorland and Furness receive their A Level, BTEC and T Level Results

Young people in Penrith and across Westmorland and Furness are celebrating today as they receive their A-Level, BTEC and T Level results and take the next step towards higher education, apprenticeships, training and employment. 

Schools and colleges across the area have reported many positive outcomes, reflecting the hard work, dedication and resilience shown by students throughout their studies, supported by families, teachers and wider school communities. 

Final validated data will not be available until later in the autumn, when local and national outcomes can be fully compared. However, early indications suggest another strong year for students across Westmorland and Furness. 

Councillor Janet Battye, Westmorland and Furness Council's Cabinet Member for Children's Services, Education and Skills said: 

"Congratulations to all the young people receiving their results today, whether A-level, BTEC or T-level. Their achievements are the result of years of hard work and determination. 

Whether your results are exactly what you hoped for or have led you to reconsider your plans, it is important to remember that there are many routes to success. Today is a time to celebrate your achievements and look forward with confidence to the opportunities ahead." 

Milorad Vasic, Director of Children's Services at Westmorland and Furness Council, said: 

"I would like to congratulate all our young people receiving their results today – you should be incredibly proud of your hard work and determination.  

Today marks an important milestone, whether you are progressing to university, an apprenticeship, further training or employment. Whatever path you choose, I wish you every success and the best of luck. 

I would also like to thank parents, carers, teachers, lecturers and support staff whose encouragement and dedication have helped our young people reach this point."
