Red Arrows set to fly past Penrith this Saturday

The Red Arrows squadron of Hawks are due to fly past Penrith on Saturday as they fly over Cumbria from Blackpool on route to Scotland where they will perform a fly past at the Edinburgh Military Tattoo.

They are expected to fly Northwest of Penrith at approximately 5:52pm after departing Blackpool at around 5.42pm and start their approach to fly over Edinburgh at approximately 6.15pm.

Following the display over Edinburgh the Squadron will head back down over Cumbria, via Silloth, Whitehaven and the Furness peninsula, before returning to the Blackpool Air Show.

The current flight plan for the RAF Squadron passing by Penrith will take them over Junction 41 of the M6 at approximately 5.52pm just 10 minutes after departing Blackpool.

The forecast for Saturday between 4pm and 6pm is currently for clear skies, giving a good opportunity to spot the Red Arrows as they fly past Penrith.
