The annual Remembrance parade through Penrith took place on Sunday (10th November) afternoon with Penrith Town band leading the parade with members of the armed forces, emergency service, veterans along with members of the scouts and guides plus representatives from the council.
The parade set off from Portland Place at 2pm travelling down Middlegate and through into Devonshire street and on to St Andrews Church for a service of Remembrance at 2:30pm
Markus Campbell-Savours MP joined the parade on route to St Andrews to attend the service of remembrance and place a wreath along with wreath’s laid by members of the forces and other local organisations.
