A team of volunteers have been busy getting the showground ready for the 2024 Penrith Show tomorrow (Saturday 20th July). The show returns with a full day of events and entertainment the show will get underway with the show ground opening at 7:30am. Trade stands will be open form 10am.
Penrith Show 2024 Programme of events. (Timings are provisions as some classes may over run.)
7:30am – Showground Opens for the 2024 Penrith Show.
8:00am - Judging commences for Horses.
9:00am - Dry Stone Walling competition commences.
9:30am - Judging commences for Cattle & Sheep.
10.00am - Judging commences for HomeMade, Home Grown.
10:00am - Food Hall & Rural Craft Marquees Open.
10:30am - Judging commences for Rabbits.
12:30pm - HomeMade/HomeGrown Marquee opens for viewing.
1:15pm - Cumberland & Westmorland Wrestling,
1.30pm - Milnthorpe Steel Band commences playing in the Music/Bar Area.
1.00pm - Sheep Dog Display with Ducks & Geese.
1:45pm - Dog Show in the Main Ring.
2:30pm - Supreme Horse Championship.
2:45pm - Judging of Champion of Champions - Main Ring.
3.00pm - Grand Parade followed by presentation of trophies & the Blamire Medal.
3.45pm - Parade of Vintage Tractors & Classic Cars - Main Ring.
4.00pm - Sheep Dog Display with Ducks & Geese.
5:00pm - Songs from the Musicals – Music/Bar Area.
7:00pm - OTT – Music/Bar Area.
8:30pm Last orders at the bar.
Through the day Street entertainers will also be wander among the crowd
A shuttle Bus will be running between Penrith and the show ground, Pick up points are at Penrith Bus Station, running from 10.30am until 5.30pm directly to and from the show field, and also running from Penrith & District Farmers’ Mart, running from 10am until 6pm directly to and from the show ground.
Tickets to get into the show on the day are:
Adults £15
Concessions(Over 65’s) £10
Children (5 - 16yrs) £5 - Children under 5 FREE
Family (2 adults & 2 children) £35
Your ticket will not only get you into Penrith Show but will also get you into the After Show Party.
Back by popular demand fir Penrith Show 2024, The beer tent area will have music rounding off the night with the after-show party with live music from the brilliant OTT kicking off at 7pm.
