Penrith.Town are holding the inaugural Penrith Scarecrow Competition that will take place between the 27th of July and 11th of August to coincide with the 2024 Olympics that will form the theme for the Penrith Scarecrow Competition.
With the opportunity for all households, streets, businesses, local group’s and organisations to get involved and take part by creating and displaying a scarecrow in a garden or outside businesses across the town.
Entries will be included on a town trail map to allow people to travel around the town and view all the scarecrows and vote as part of the judging.
The Penrith Scarecrow Competition based around an Olympics theme that can cover anything linked to the Olympics from athletes taking part to the tv crews covering the games or anything linked to the 2024 Olympics.
The competition has six neighbourhood categories representing the six ward areas of Penrith – Penrith North, South, East, West, Carleton and Pategill each having a neighbourhood winner, Along with a Penrith business winner from across the town and an overall winner of the Penrith.Town 2024 Scarecrow Competition.
Entries are now open and free to all with no limits on the number of entries per property or age restrictions (Those under 16 must have parent's permission to enter)

Prizes for each category winner will be announced in July along with the Penrith Town Scarecrow trail map.
