Delays Through Penrith Due to Temporary Traffic Lights

Temporary traffic lights on Middlegate and Burrowgate are causing some delays to traffic heading South through Penrith today.

Drivers are facing delays of approximately 15 minutes travelling south Strickland Gate and down along Middlegate due to the temporary traffic lights in place to allow SP Electricity North West to carry out work on Burrowgate outside the old Co-op.

The works have closed one lane on Burrowgate to provide a safe pedestrian footway as a result of the works on the pavement.

The works are expected to be completed Monday evening (16th March).
