Kendal Calling music festival is taking place at Lowther Deer Park from Thursday 1st until Sunday 4th August, the annual festival is expecting around 40,000 people to attend over the 4 days with many arriving on Thursday and Friday to the site South of Penrith.
Those attending the festival are being reminded as they approach the festival site to ensure sat nav’s are turned off and all drivers follow signage for Kendal Calling and their relevant car park.
The festival is expected to see heavy traffic building throughout Thursday and Friday on the A66 and A6 as a crowd more than twice the population of Penrith moves into the festival site for the weekend.
The festival site opens for camping at 9am on Thursday (1st August) for those with Thursday entry tickets alongside their full weekend tickets.
Gates will open on Friday at 8AM until 9PM over Saturday & Sunday the gates will open at 10AM and close at 9PM.
After the festival ends on Sunday night the campsite will close at 2PM on Monday.
