Residents of the Raiselands Croft area enjoyed a lively community event today (Saturday 21st June) held at Riselands Playpark, running until 3pm.
Action Ants led a host of fun outdoor activities, keeping children and families entertained throughout the day. A highlight of the event was a community litter pick around the estate, with participating children rewarded with free ice cream for their efforts.
Local services joined in the event, with Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service bringing along a fire engine for children to explore. Cumbria Police and Active Cumbria also hosted stalls, offering everything from bike security marking to hands-on demonstrations of life-saving CPR techniques.
The event brought neighbours together for a day of fun, learning, and community spirit.
