Another Wide Load Heading to West Cumbria this weekend Via J40

An Abnormal Load is planned to travel on the M6 exiting at J40 onto the A66 this weekend heading to Seascale parking up overnight on Saturday at Tebay and completing its journey on Sunday via Penrith to Seascale.

National Highways are warning drivers travelling on the M6 and A66 of another abnormal load this weekend that could lead to delays and is asking drivers to take care and have patience on the road.

The abnormal load operation taking place this weekend will start on Saturday travelling along the M62 from Rochdale before travelling on the M66 - A56 - M65 - M61 before joining the M6 at Junction 30 heading North to Tebay on Saturday (6th December).

The vehicle will park up overnight at Tebay before completing its journey to Seascale on Sunday (10th November)

Travelling North from Tebay along the M6 to Junction 40 at Penrith where the vehicles will exit onto the A66 heading to West Cumbria before travelling on the A595 to Seascale.

Storm Darragh forecast over the weekend with amber warning for west Cumbria and yellow warning for the rest of Cumbria may lead to changes to plans for the wide load movement.
