Over the years, the shop has become a familiar part of town centre life, serving traditional fish and chip shop favourites to generations of local residents and visitors alike. It is famous for its foot-long Cumberland sausage, alongside staples such as fishcakes and pineapple fritters.
The business currently opens five days a week, operating 25.5 frying hours across nine services. Despite those limited hours, it reports average gross sales of £7,000 per week, with adjusted net profits of almost £133,000.
The business and property is been marketed by Ernest Wilson Business Transfer agent with an asking price of £295,000.
