New Westmorland and Furness council concludes first official meeting with a photo.

Members and officers of the new Westmorland and Furness council posed for a group photo at the end of the new councils first official meeting and AGM since the council moved from its shadow council status and replaced the former councils on the 1st of April.

Todays meeting was held at county hall in Kendal with the election of the council’s chair vice chair and leader on the agenda along with the council approving an increase in members allowance and a 21% increase in special responsibility allowances for councillors with additional roles.
