Two Arrested in Penrith over Dog Welfare Concerns

Officers from Eden neighbourhood policing team, alongside officers from the police Dog Section, attended an address on Carleton Hall Walk in Penrith on Tuesday following concerns for the welfare of a dog.

Officers safely secured the dog and two occupants of the property a 22 year old female and a 25 year old male have been arrested on suspicion of causing unnecessary suffering to an animal. Both currently remain in police custody assisting us with our enquiries and the dog is being examined by a vet. 

A quantity of suspected Class B drugs were also located in the property.
