Police in Penrith have taken action on Tuesday night over vehicles being driven in an anti-social manner on the top level of New Squares carpark in Penrith.
As temperatures plummeted on what forecasts have said is the coldest January night in 14 years and icy conditions worsen vehicles were racing around on the top level of the New Squares carpark.
The Eden Neighbourhood Policing Team have said the actions by the drivers was causing distress & disturbance to local families. The vehicle was intercepted by area PCSO and young male driver was issued with a Section59 Warning.
Officers said “he now understands one more transgression of this type and his vehicle will be seized”.
In a public warning issued the Eden Neighbourhood policing team said “Anti-social driving = Section 59 Warning = do it again and your vehicle will be seized. Vehicle danger and disturbance to Penrith residents will not be tolerated by Eden NP
