Police are investigating an incident that occurred in Penrith tonight while the town Christmas lights event was taking place with crowds filling the town centre in which a child has been assaulted.
Cumbria Police have secured footage of the assault for evidential purposes and is now carrying out investigations.
Police have not released any further information at this time.
