Fire crews are currently responding to a suspected gas related incident at a house on Victoria road in Penrith.
Three fire engines and crews along with northern gas network are on the scene at the housing association property located next to Ullswater Community College.
Crews with breathing apparatus entered the property after the alarm was raised shorty before 9am this morning.
