Last ever Eden District Council cabinet meeting

At 6pm this evening the last ever Eden District Council cabinet committee got underway at Penrith Town Hall.


5 of the 7 cabinet members were in attendance with the Deputy Leader Cllr Robinson and communities portfolio holder Cllr Sharp unable to attend due to weather related issues the cabinet was informed.


The Leader of the council faced questions regarding Voreda House from Cllr Jonathan Davies regarding delays and changing competition dates.

The leader said Voreda House would now be completed by June 2023.


The cabinet has also approved spending £200,000 on a works to turn Penrith Town Hall into an arts and culture venue.
