‘It’s Friday’ Traffic Once Again Bumper to Bumper around Penrith

Yes It’s Friday and that means Penrith is once again facing gridlock on the M6 and A66 around Penrith this afternoon.

Traffic on the M6 is stationary back beyond junction 41 down to J40 with traffic on the M6 facing delays of around 20-30 minutes currently.

Traffic is backed up between J40 and Kemplay Roundabout along the A66 and back along the A66 to Stainton.

The A6 through Penrith is also facing delays and tailbacks into and out of Penrith with traffic through town also facing delays of 20-30 minutes.
