Youngsters in Penrith have the chance to hit the bullseye with a free darts taster session hosted by the Penrith Darts League. Open to 12- to 16-year-olds, the session takes place at Penrith Cricket Club on Saturday, April 5th, from 1pm to 4pm.
The event offers a great introduction to darts, a sport that not only provides social benefits but also helps improve maths skills, hand-eye coordination, and strategic thinking.
One of the organisers, Mark, hopes the session will spark interest in a monthly youth academy. "I want the youth of Penrith to enjoy the game which is so close to my heart and have somewhere they can actually go to play it," he said.
