FireCrews are currently tackling a wildfire near Warcop with nearby residents asked to keep windows and doors closed

Cumbria Fire and Rescue Services have issued a warning to nearby residents to close windows and doors and have asked people to keep their distance while fire crews work to extinguish the fire.

Smoke was first spotted early this afternoon by drivers on the A66 in the Warcop range area, smoke can now be seen drifting west towards Penrith across the valley.
