A66 to Remain Closed between Penrith and Scotch Corner until at least Midday

National Highways have confirmed the A66 will remain closed between Penrith and Scotch Corner through most of Monday with the road will not reopening before lunch time today (Monday 6th January) at the earliest currently.

Further overnight snow and a current yellow weather warning for snow and Ice has resulted in substantial buildup of snow along parts of the road that was closed late on Saturday night and remained closed throughout Sunday.
