A6 Shap closed due to flooding.

The A6 at Shap is impassable due to flooding throughout Shap tonight.

The main road and areas around Shap have seen flooding from earlier this evening impacting the community.

Properties at the North end of the village have already been flooded and the A6 is now heavily flooded in scenes that some have compared to the that of Storm Desmond back in 2015.

Emergency Services are in the community offering assistance as properties start to flood.
