A6 Closed Southbound Through Town Centre from Market Square

The A6 through Penrith is closed southbound due to Electricity Northwest carrying out emergency work due to a power cut,

The power cut had affected traffic lights on Victoria road at the Junction with Roper street but these are now operating again.

Road closed signs are in place from the top of king street with traffic diversions via castle gate and Ullswater road to J40.
